How to build an update
Maps (PMTiles)
- Download the country extract from Geofabrik: south-africa-latest.osm.pbf · namibia-latest.osm.pbf
- Run
RoadbookerMapBuilder(run.bat) on the.osm.pbfto produceoutput/maps/. - Zip the maps folder →
maps-bundle.zip(must containmanifest/andcountries/). - Upload it below. Manifests are swapped in last, atomically — no downtime.
OSRM (routing)
- In WSL Ubuntu, run
deploy/build-osrm.sh za(orna). It downloads the latest Geofabrik extract, runs extract/partition/customize withadventure.lua, and produces<country>-osrm.tar. - Upload that
.tarbelow for the matching country. - The server swaps the routing data and restarts the container with a health-check; it auto-rolls-back if the new data fails.
Upload map tiles
Bundle: maps-bundle.zip (or .tar). Applies to whichever countries it contains.
